De 4 a 7 de junho de 2024, a UFMS participou do 10º Workshop Internacional do UI GreenMetric World University Rankings, em Bogotá, na Colômbia. Ao lado de outras três instituições brasileiras, a Universidade debateu sobre sustentabilidade, gestão de resíduos e da água, cidades inteligentes, agroecologia e a integração de projetos institucionais com os Objetivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável, da Organização das Nações Unidas. Foram aprovados 5 trabalhos da UFMS, os quais foram apresentados no evento da seguinte forma:
